Most of a lawyer's day is spent standing, waiting for a matter to be called. Tarikh's mobile screens are shaped around exactly those moments.
Three taps for any in-court action
Adjourn a hearing, set the next tarikh and message the client without leaving the corridor. Every routine action is reachable in three taps or fewer from the Today screen, and the buttons sit where a thumb naturally lands.
Thumb-first layout
Primary actions live at the bottom of the screen, the bottom navigation stays put, and hearing cards can be swiped to mark them heard. Nothing important hides in the top corner where a one-handed grip cannot reach.
Bangla numerals and Dhaka time
Dates, case numbers and dues appear in Bangla numerals when the interface is in Bangla, set in Hind Siliguri so they stay legible at small sizes. Every time is Dhaka time, so a tarikh entered on a phone matches the diary back at the chamber.
Light on data
Screens are text-first with no heavy images, so the diary opens on a slow connection in the courthouse basement. Pages you have already visited come back in an instant.

Add Tarikh to your home screen
Tarikh is a web app that behaves like a native one once installed. There is nothing to download from a store, and updates arrive on their own.
Android (Chrome)
- 1Open Tarikh in Chrome and sign in.
- 2Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
- 3Choose Add to Home screen, then confirm with Install or Add.
- 4Tarikh now opens full screen from its own icon, like any other app.
iPhone (Safari)
- 1Open Tarikh in Safari and sign in.
- 2Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen.
- 3Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.
- 4Find the Tarikh icon on your home screen and open it from there.
Chrome on Android and Safari on iPhone are the tested paths. Other browsers offer the same option under a slightly different name.
Roles on the go
Every seat in the chamber, on the move.
Tarikh keeps the Senior, Junior and Clerk roles on the phone exactly as they are on the desktop.
Senior
Opens the morning digest on the way to court, sees who is where, and checks dues before meeting a client. Governance actions such as inviting members stay a tap away.
Junior
Carries the day's list into the courtroom, marks each hearing as it is called and enters the next tarikh before the bench moves on to the next matter.
Clerk (muhuri)
Adds a new case from the bar association counter, updates a hearing after the cause list is called, and sends the client a WhatsApp message with the next date in one tap.

Mobile questions, answered.
Does Tarikh work offline?
Tarikh needs a connection to load and save data, because every entry is shared with the whole chamber the moment it is made. Recently opened screens reappear quickly, and the app is text-first so it loads on a weak signal. A fully offline mode is on the roadmap for the native app.
Will I get notifications?
Seniors receive the 7 am morning digest by email every working day, and client updates go out by WhatsApp. Push notifications to the phone are planned alongside the native app; today the home-screen icon is the fastest route to the day's list.
How much mobile data does it use?
Very little. Screens are text and numbers rather than images, so a typical day of checking the diary and updating hearings uses less data than a few WhatsApp photos. Case PDFs are generated only when you ask for one.
Is a native App Store or Play Store app coming?
Yes, it is planned. Tarikh's API is built for it from day one, and the mobile screens have been designed with lawyers on real devices. Until it ships, the home-screen install gives you the same diary in a native-feeling shell, and your data will carry over with no migration.
Can the whole chamber use it from their own phones?
Yes. Every member signs in with their own account and role on their own phone. The trial includes up to ten members, and each person sees the same shared diary.
